The senior faculty from journalism department of the Central University of Kashmir Mr Shahnaz Bashir on Tuesday has been awarded by Helvetia, Swiss Arts Council with a writer’s residency at Zurich, Switzerland from January 15 to February 24, 2018.
The CUK spokesman said programme is for writers/artists-in-residence in which they spend time in Switzerland in order to discover the art and writing scene and establish contacts with Swiss artists and writers.
The letter from the Pro Helvetia mentions that the award is for “your (Shahnaz’s) literary achievements.
