Authorities Tuesday placed Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest, a day ahead of the protest shutdown called by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL).
Sources confirmed to Kashmir Life that a posse of policemen arrived at the Nigeen residence of the Mirwaiz and placed him under house arrest.
“Placed under #House arrest again, while the inhuman brutal killings of #kashmiris including our young women continue and the collaborators who reside over them sing paeans of their masters!” Tweeted Mirwaiz.
The shutdown call given by JRL comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik called for complete shutdown call against the recent civilian killing spree in kashmir.
