The 8th meeting of the Executive Council of the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) was held here on Saturday with varsity Vice-Chancellor, Prof Abdul Wahid in chair.
The meeting was among others attended by K B Aggarwal, Principal Secretary Higher Education J&K, Prof Maithili Sharan, Professor Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, Siddharth Kak, founder trustee Surabhi Foundation, Dr Ram Vishwakarma, Director Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Prof Sidiq Wahid, Director UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Institute of Kashmir Studies, University of Kashmir, Prof Mehraj-ud-Din Mir, Dean School of Legal Studies CUK and Prof Muhammad Aslam, Dean School of Languages, M M Bhat Ex-JKPSC member and Registrar CUK, Dr Abdul Gani.
The participants had a threadbare discussion on various administrative and academic issues pertaining to the CUK and provided suggestions regarding the future development and progress of the University. The meeting also discussed the work modalities about the establishment of the University at Ganderbal.
