SRINAGAR: A 55-year-old daily wager working with the Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (KPDCL) died due to electrocution while repairing an electric wire in Dangaam village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Yaqoon, a resident of Chakoora in Shopian. According to a local resident, Yaqoon received a severe electric shock while carrying out the repair work.
He was immediately shifted to District Hospital Shopian, where doctors declared him brought dead.
