Sikhs in Punjab Pray for Geelani

Ailing separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani who is facing serious health problems these days has his followers praying for his speedy recovery in state of Punjab.

Dal Khalsa, a sikh group has expressed its solidarity with him and prayed for his speedy recovery.

According to the party’s spokesperson, Kanwarpal Singh from Amritsar said, “News of Geelani Sahib’s not keeping well and falling ill has caused us a worry.”

“Now, we have learned that his health condition is improving slowly-slowly, so we hope he would get well soon to lead the freedom movement.”

The spokesperson further said, “People in Punjab admire him for his vision and strong determination. Geelani Sahib symbolizes Kashmir’s freedom movement, however, he has earned respect outside Kashmir also, for which Kashmiris should feel proud.”
