SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday sought help from the general public in identifying the thief caught in camera involved in a theft at Dastgeer Sahab Shrine Khanyar.
A police spokesman said, “On 13-09-2020, Police Station Khanyar received information from Intizamiya Committee of Dastageer Sahab Shrine Khanyar that during the intervening night some unknown thief/thieves have attempted to break the donation box for stealing cash from the said donation box. After the commission of a crime, the suspected person escaped from the spot.”

“Accordingly, a case FIR No. 66/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Khanyar and investigation is going on,” he said.
The spokesman said that a special investigation team has been constituted to investigate the case and CCTV footage, as well as photographs of the suspect, have been collected for the purpose of investigation.
