Life returns to normal in Kashmir valley on Wednesday after remaining affected on Tuesday due to a shutdown called by separatist leadership on the death anniversaries of Moulvi Mohammad Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone and the martyrs of the “Hawal massacre”.

Shops, business establishments, government and private offices opened across the valley and both private and public transport also started plying.

A large number of people were seen busy in purchasing different household items from the market.

A complete shutdown was observed in the valley yesterday following a call issued by the Joint Resistance Leadership to mark the death anniversaries of Moulvi Mohammad Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone and the martyrs of the “Hawal massacre”.
