On the call of resistance leadership to hold a pro-freedom rally in Nagam village, people of Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district had assembled in the village Tuesday morning, however, forces appeared on the scene and fired teargas shells in a bid to foil the rally.

Reports reaching here said that authorities have imposed strict curfew in the whole area.

A local from the village told Kashmir Life over phone that people are not allowed to move out of the area. “Neither anyone from outside is able to come to the village at the moment,” the caller said.

The police have not even allowed today’s newspapers to reach the village, the locals said, as they have imposed strict restrictions.
