J&K Police on Wednesday evening issued a statement which said that five persons were injured in different road accidents while as five persons were arrested who were found involved in gambling. The statement is being reproduced here with all the details.
Five Persons Injured in Road Mishaps
Five persons were injured in two separate road accidents in Budgam and Islamabad.
In Budgam, an LP Truck bearing registration number JK03E/3626 hit a motorcycle bearing registration number JK04C/1228 at Wazbagh resulting injuries to pillion Ghulam Nabi Sodaghar, resident of Chrar-i-Sharief.
The injured was shifted to Bone & Joint Hospital Srinagar for treatment.
In Islamabad, a motorcycle bearing registration number DL65AF/9934 and Scooty bearing registration number JK03E/7432 collided at Soyan Wangam, Kokernag resulting in injuries to four persons.
The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
Scorpio Vehicle Gutted in Mysterious Fire
A Scorpio vehicle was damaged in a fire incident at Saderbal area of Srinagar here this morning.
A Scorpio vehicle bearing registration number JK01W-36 was damaged in mysterious fire at Saderbal in Srinagar today.
The vehicle was reportedly parked opposite Javaid Automobiles at Saderbal when it caught fire.
Police have registered a case and cause of fire is being ascertained.
Five Gamblers Held in Srinagar
Police arrested five gamblers and recovered a stake money over twenty seven thousands in Khanyar area of Srinagar this afternoon.
Following a tip off, a police party headed by SDPO Khanyar raided a gambling place at Malkha near JLNM, Hospital Rainawari and arrested five gamblers.
Police recovered stake money of Rs 27590 from the gambling site.
A case has been registered and investigation has been taken up.
