Massive restrictions have been imposed in Kulgam’s Hawoora-Mishpora area and Islamabad’s Anchidora following scheduled pro-freedom rallies on Sunday in South Kashmir.

In Anchidora, locals said that a pro-freedom rally was scheduled to be held in Jamia Masjid Anchidora today but forces in morning put restrictions in the area and didn’t allow anyone to come out of their houses.

Forces also fired teargas shells, the eyewitness said and ceased any movement in the area.

In Hawoora-Mishpora area, Army, Police and CRPF men after entering into the village and didn’t allow anyone to come out.

The forces have imposed restrictions on all the ways leading to Hawoora, the locals said, to cease any movement towards the scheduled rally venue.

Reports said that minor stone pelting incident was reported in Khudwani area.

Stones were pelted on some forces and private vehicles, the reports from Khudwani said during which windshields of some private vehicle was damaged.
