With leaders from Kashmir’s ideological divide fighting over the mysterious blazes devouring the educational institutions, yet another mysterious fire destroyed the higher secondary school at Kabamarg, Aakash Hassan reported from Islamabad.

“Locals rang me up saying the fire emerged mysteriously and spread quite fast,” Hassan rang up the newsroom saying. “They said the fire is huge and the institution may not be saved.”

Fire tenders have reached the spot. The school is located very close to Larkipora. It is very close to the local shrine, the locals told Hassan.

Kabamarg village falls in Shahabad and is almost located 11 kms south of Islamabad. It is surrounded by Hakura, Damhal, Pethbugh, Bonadialgam and Bragam. Interestingly the village falls almost on the border between Islamabad and Kulgam districts

The day started with a report that the Jawahar Nehru Vidyala (JNV) Ashmuqam was destroyed in a fire. Located almost within a garrison, the fact is that there was short-circuit and it damaged the chamber of the principal. The net loss in the fire was the computer and one almirah. However, the major fire in the afternoon destroyed the junior college.

Already around 25 schools were destroyed to ashes in last 54 days.
