Police have recovered 60 kg of poppy from a vehicle near Jawahar Tunnel, on Wednesday, during checking at the north portal of the tunnel.
The poppy was ceased from tempo traveller, under registration number JK01T-6027.
Meanwhile, the reports said that the two persons travelling in the vehicle attempted to flee from the spot but they were intercepted near Range Quarter Veerinag, after police party chased them.
They were identified as Gulzar Ahmad Ganaie and Nissar Ahmad Wani, residents of Vojar Budgam and an FIR has been registered in the case.
