Army on Saturday said that a suspected militant was killed and an army soldier was injured in an encounter in South Kashmir’s Shopian forests.
Srinagar based defence spokesperson, Rajesh Kalia, told Kashmir Life, “one militant has been killed while an army soldier was injured in the encounter.”
He said that forces launched a search operation in Dobijan forests in Shopian district. “The operation is going on,” he added.
The encounter broke this morning and reinforcements were rushed to the area.
“We are yet to recover the body,” the defence spokesperson said.
Sounding similar words, J&K police spokesperson said, “we are yet to recover the body (of the slain militant).”
