The resistance leadership called meeting of ‘all stakeholders’ is going on at Hyderpora on Tuesday.

The meeting gave an interestingly different look to the patch of the Hyderpora-Peerbagh road. Normally, there were soldiers and concertina wire blocks in place preventing people from assembling around.

Tuesday was crowded. With various TV vans parked in addition to scores of private cars, the situation was apparently festive. Cops had taken over the lane leading to Geelani’s residence. They were seeking identities of the people getting in and preventing the unwanted, including the media.

Most of the invited people did not talk to media. However, Jagmohan Singh Raina told reporters that he will be placing his analysis of the situation before the leadership.

Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik had called leaders of trade, education, transport, civil society members, religious, social and political organizations, bar association and people from other walks of life for a meeting to “devise future strategy” today.

The meeting commenced at 11 AM and all the top three resistance leaders are present in the meet which is witnessing participation of at least three hundred such invitees.

The resistance leadership which is spearheading the on-going civil uprising in Kashmir were first allowed to meet on November 06, 2016 in last 120 days.

The meeting underway at Geelani’s residence-cum-office is expected to take call on the weekly protest calendars issued by the resistance camp.
