Markets opened in Srinagar on Tuesday evening following the call of united resistance leadership’s call to open markets after 6 PM during shutdown days.

Businessmen had resumed their work on Monday as well in Lal Chowk but police had stopped them.

In the on-going civil uprising, the Hurriyat leadership has asked to resume normal lives only after 6 PM every day after day’s complete shutdown in protest to civilian killings.
