Hurriyat patriarch Syed Ali Geelani has expressed cold blooded murder of Riyaz Ahmad Shah.
Riyaz, an ATM guard-salesman, was brutally killed by pellets from point blank range on late Tuesday night. Police have registered a case against “forces”.
Geelani while strongly condemning the cold blooded of the Chattabal youth Riyaz Ahmad Shah and Lethpora youth Farooq Ahmad Kuchay at “the hands of the Indian occupational forces”, expressed his deep shock and grief over the fresh killings, a statement issued Hurriyat Conference (g) said Wednesday late evening.
The statement said that on the directions of Geelani, an APHC-g delegation yesterday visited Chattabal and participated in the funeral prayers of the “martyred” youth at Eidgah.
The Hurriyat delegation was led by Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader Moulana Bashir Ahmad Quraishi who was also accompanied by Mohammad Sayed, Hurriyat leader and Chairperson JKSPF Advocate Devinder Singh and Manjit Singh.
Geelani also spoke to the victim family and expressed his sympathy and condolence with them.
