Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi, on Thursday said that the cold-blooded murder of Riyaz Ahmad Shah of Chattabal, Srinagar “by the Indian occupational forces is a glaring example disproving the claims of Indian authorities that armed forces here kill people in self-defence”.
“The martyrdom of Farooq Ahmad of Lethpora and Riyaz Ahmad Shah of Chattabal and the brutality unleashed by Indian forces in Kulgam injuring more than 150 people is yet another example of Indian oppression and brutality. These acts are highly condemnable,” Andrabi said in a statement issue from an undisclosed location this evening.
“The killing of Riyaz Ahmad Shah exposes that Indian forces here are only trigger happy who enjoy killing Kashmiris. It is an eye-opener for those who justify killing of innocent civilians by forces as an act of self-defence,” she added.
She said, “the shameless puppet CM, Mehbooba Mufti, should hang herself as she continues to justify these cold-blooded murders every now and then.”
“What is happening in Kashmir is barbaric and ugliest form of repression. Who and what were these brutal forces defending when they fired on the Riyaz, who was riding to home from work on his scooter,” she said.
She said that before Riyaz, these “occupational forces” dragged Aamir Ahmad Latoo of Bijbehara, Sajad Ahmad Thokar of Utterasoo, Shangus, Shabir Ahmad and Hilal Ahmad of Tengpora from their homes and killed them on the roads.
“They were fired upon from close range and were left dying on roads. By killing these innocent young kids, do these forces think that they are brave? They are nothing but shameless cowards who feel pride in killing innocent people,” she added.
She further said, “the brutal attack on the massive pro-freedom rally in Kulgam on Wednesday, which left more than 150 people injured and during which dozens of vehicles were torched by these forces, is nothing but worst form of state-sponsored terrorism.”
“Is there no shame and conscience left in the puppet CM and the local ministers? For how long would these people continue to crush the resistance movement by killing innocent people of Jammu and Kashmir,” she said.
“This shameless woman (Mehbooba Mufti) must remind herself about her father’s deeds and what happened to him later on. Forces committed countless massacres of innocent Kashmiris on his orders when he was the home minister of India during 1990s. Did he achieve anything? Was he able to crush the resistance movement? No, he wasn’t,” she added.
She said that the resistance leadership will continue to “struggle against the tyranny and there was still time for the people like Mehbooba to join the movement and repent their crimes committed against the people of Kashmir”.
