Around two dozen civilians were injured on Friday in clashes with forces in Kangan area of Ganderbal district in central Kashmir.

The protestors, holding pro- freedom demonstrations, said that police fired tear gas shells which injured several of them.

The protestors said that the police have arrested civilians yesterday.

Meanwhile, a massive protest rally was organized in Hajin area of Bandipora district.

The protestors chanted anti-India and pro-freedom slogans. Several protestors were injured in clashes with forces.

In Harwan and Shalimar areas of Srinagar district, clashes erupted between protestors and policemen against the recent killing of civilians. The police fired tear gas shells on the protestors.

The residents of Dalgate near Dal Lake staged a protest demonstration against the alleged ransacking of houses and thrashing of residents by police.
