All Parties Hurriyat Conference (g) Syed Ali Geelani on Friday while reacting to the statement of the union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in the SAARC summit held in Islamabad Pakistan on Wednesday-Thursday said that “India is the largest terrorist country in the world and if anyone is needed to be isolated that is this very country”.
“The terror sponsor countries should be isolated,” Rajnath Singh had said in his address to SAARC nations in Islamabad on Thursday.
“By issuing such statements, India actually wants to hide its terrorist activities in the region,” the octogenarian leader said.
“The worst form of terrorism of all times has been the state terrorism and India is largest sponsor of state terrorism all over the country particularly in occupied Jammu & Kashmir,” Geelani said.
He said that not only the people of Jammu Kashmir but the very citizens of India like Muslims, Christens, Sikhs, Dalits, Aadivasies (tribal people) etc. “are feeling the heat of the state terrorism of India”.
“Nobody has forgotten the government sponsored Gujarat carnage in 2002 where more than three thousand innocent and unarmed Muslims including children, women and an Indian parliament member were mercilessly burnt alive,” the ailing Hurriyat patriarch said.
Geelani said, “India has broken all the records of oppression and repression and it is the leading nation in the world with human rights violations and this country has transformed the secularism into terrorism.”
“If anybody has to witness the inhuman face of India, he should come and visit Jammu & Kashmir where the cruel armed forces of this country are mercilessly killing and eliminating the people of the state and where entire population is branded as terrorists,” the APHC-g chairperson said.
“Today the pro-freedom leadership has called for a peaceful gathering at Dargah Hazratbal where we were scheduled to offer Friday congregational prayers and to pay homage to our martyrs. But New Delhi used its military might to gag the peaceful and genuine voices of the Kashmiri people and turned the entire state into a military garrison,” Geelani said while addressing media persons when he was stopped from proceeding towards Dargah Hazratbal on Friday around 12:20 PM.
While taking dig at the state police, Geelani cautioned that the “anti-people and anti-movement” police men “should prepare themselves for the judgment day because they have crossed all limitations of oppression against their own people”.
The Hurriyat Conference (g) Chairperson also paid rich tributes to the courage and valour of the people of Doda, Banihal, Rajouri, Kishtwar, Ramban and Poonch who are showing their affiliation with the “on-going freedom struggle”.
Geelani, along with Tehreek-e-Hurriyat and Muslim League activists tried to march towards Dargah Hazratbal early today but they were disallowed and Geelani was detained in Humhama Police Station.
