One youth was hit by bullet in his leg during protest in outskirts of Srinagar on Friday.
Local sources said that intense clashes erupted in Narbal area after Friday congregational prayers.
People took out a rally, however, it was dispersed off by the forces who fired tear gas canisters and pellets. “But youths didn’t relent,” sources said.
“I am home since morning but I have never heard such a number of tear gas canisters being fired,” a local from an adjoining area of Narbal said, “it was very hard day today.”
The local said that whole area is under grip of fear “as there was intense aerial firing in Narbal”.
Sources said that some youths were injured when forces shot pellets and one was hit by a bullet in his leg. He was rushed to hospital.
Sources in SKIMS Soura said that they received a bullet injured youth from Narbal. “He is being operated upon this time,” they added.
