During a “gunfight” near Line of Control in Machil sector of frontier Kupwara district three Border Security Forces (BSF) personnel and a suspected militant were killed on Monday.
Confirming the incident Army’s Northern Command in a tweet said that “a militant was killed during a gunfight, however, three BSF personnel also lost their lives”.
According to Army the area has been cordoned off to flush out hiding suspected militants.
“I have received the information that three BSF personnel and a militant have been killed during a gun fight in Machil Sector of Kupwara district. I will let you know if there will be something important to share,” said an Army official. (CNS)
