Minister of State for Social Welfare, Ms Asiea Naqash Tuesday convened a meeting to review the functioning of different departments and organizations under the Social Welfare Department.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner Secretary Social Welfare Department, Managing Director Women’s Development Corporation, Director Social Welfare Kashmir and other senior officers of the concerned departments, an official spokesperson said this evening.
Discussions were held on different issues like digitization of data, status of disbursement under NSAP and ISSS, new schemes like Asra, MAS, Ladli Beti, Hunar, registration of homes under ICPS, minority scholarships of Minister of Minority/Social Justice, construction of hostels along with the construction agency, functioning of Bal Ashrams Nari Niketans and availability of food there.
The Minister instructed the concerned officers to shift boys hostel Uri to a newly constructed hostel building at Rebban Sopore immediately.
She also instructed establishment of women staff helpline office for Kashmir Province at Srinagar and establishment of women’s grievance redressal cell as soon as possible.
