“Both children and teacher need to be put on a scale that continuously monitors and tracks the progress,” said the Minister.

“No Detention Policy is imminently dispensable concept. So we need to work out a solution that will help streamline every aspect of education sector.”

The Minister said that CCE and No Detention Policy can be a game changer for education sector as it will have immediate benefits for the society.

He dispelled the rumours that state will get away with the Examinations further adding that the new policy will supplement the existing system.

“If any candidate fails, he will be given remedial classes and many more chances to pass the examination,” said Akhtar.

He asked the participants to come out with a comprehensive policy framework comprising of synchronised CCE and NDP, which will be implemented in the state.

“Jammu and Kashmir will lead the country in education reform with such a policy,” he said.
