Forces had to use tear gas canisters to break protests in Srinagar’s Batamaloo area on Tuesday.
Reports said that scores of protesters raised pro-freedom and anti-India slogans as they were tear gassed to disperse off.
Clashes broke out in Rek Chowk after forces tried to stop protestors from holding anti-India demonstrations.
The protestors pelted stones on forces deployed in huge numbers in the area.
