Jahangir meets Saudi Ambassador

Deputy Chairman Legislative Council, Jahangir Hussain Mir, Wednesday called on Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to India Dr Saud Bin Mohammed Al Sati at New Delhi and took up various issues with him.

The Deputy Chairman requested the Ambassador for enhancement of Hajj quota for Jammu and Kashmir and consideration of issuance of special passes for all the Indian pilgrims to enable them to visit conveniently all nearby holy places of the Madina Munawarah and Makkah Mukaramah, an official spokesperson said this evening.

During the discussion, Mir conveyed his gratitude to Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz for providing free boarding and lodging to thousands of Indian workers there recently.

The top envoy listened to all the issues patiently and assured that they would be taken up with the Saudi Government on priority basis and expressed his desire to visit Kashmir in near future.
