Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, senior resistance leader has said that Kashmir is a political dispute and needs to be addressed “according to wishes of people”.
“As far as what Kashmiris want,” Mirwaiz,who heads his faction of Hurriyat Conference, “the writing on the wall is clear, even literally and can be easily read by those who want to read it.”
“People are clearly stating what they want, India just has to stop its cacophony and listen with a view to understand and not deny,” Mirwaiz said in a statement issued Tuesday late night.
He reiterated that Kashmir is a political dispute to be addressed in “accordance with the wishes and aspirations of its people” as guaranteed to them by the world community and ratified by India and Pakistan.
