While condemning the India’s decision of disallowing the application of United Nations Human Rights Commissions (UNHRC) delegation to visit Kashmir, the Jamat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir said that it proves atrocities committed on hapless Kashmiris are in the knowledge of the world nations.
“They also know the people here are peacefully struggling for their birth right of self-determination, but due to unknown reasons they show reluctance to support the just cause of Kashmiri people,” JeI statement reads.
The JeI Kashmir has further asked the world bodies to come forward and utilize their “diplomatic influence to save the Kashmir from being ‘devastated’ by the Indian forces, who use all lethal weapons against peaceful protestors, raising their voice for seeking their birth right of self-determination and against the state sponsored terrorism, violence against the civilians including children and women.”
JeI spokesperson has also condemned the excessive use of force for damaging the properties of locals during nocturnal raids, which Jama’at termed as ‘vicious and inhumane.’
