Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) chief and MLA Langate Engineer Rasheed while condemning the latest spree of killings in Budgam, Batamaloo and Dooru said that Narendra Modi’s speech from the Red Fort has “proved a green signal for security forces to kill Kashmiris in cold blood”.

In a statement issued on Tuesday evening, he said every sensible citizen was expecting the prime minister to talk sense viz-a-viz Kashmir but his “arrogance and hatred for Pakistan forced him to abuse and accuse Pakistan instead of uttering a single to heal wounds of Kashmiris”.

Rasheed said that Mehbooba Mufti followed Modi’s sermons in her Bakhshi stadium speech and added fuel to the fire.

“May Mr Modi answer where had his love for Balochis been all these years and does he mean that had Pakistan not talked with assertiveness on Kashmir  then India would have found nothing wrong in Balochistan. Let Mr Modi not forget that on the eve of Independence Day, Crores of Dalits too pledged to fight the upper caste Hindus and no sensible person can rule-out that Dalits may sooner or later seek a separate land for them,” he said.

Commenting on the “hooliganism of communal” forces in Bangalore he said :“The treatment given to Amnesty International officials in Bangalore should serve as eye opener for the world community, which needs to  realise that while GoI doesn’t spare the respected international human rights body on one hand, but tries to present itself as follower of Ahimsa by lodging FIR over the death of three dogs in Hyderabad, and on the other hand justifies and celebrates the killings of Kashmiris in the name of nationalism.”
