The body of Tengpora youth, Shabir Ahmad Mir, was exhumed on Thursday morning for post-mortem.
Sources said that the body of Shabir was exhumed this morning where his family members and some government officials were present.
“The body has brought to GMC in Shireen Bagh,” sources said, “the area is under intense security cover where nobody is being allowed to move in.”
The sources said that City Scan and X-Ray will be done on the body.
The family of Shabir is alleging that he was shot dead, in cold blood, by a DSP rank officer on July 10, 2016 evening. Mir family had moved an appeal to CJM Srinagar which ordered registration of FIR against the DSP.
No FIR was filed, however, government went to Supreme Court against the CJM order after J&K High Court upheld the CJM order.
By then, government had ordered exhumation of the body and the SC also directed for the same.
