M Y Tarigami, MLA Kulgam, Friday met Governor N N Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here.
Tarigami briefed the Governor about the obtaining situation in the Valley and the hardships being faced by the people, an official spokesperson said this evening.
The Governor stressed the crucial importance of urgent restoration of peace and normalcy and urged Tarigami to vigorously continue his initiatives in this regard.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson said that Lt Gen D S Hooda, Army Commander, Northern Command, accompanied by Lt Gen S K Dua, GOC 15 Corps, met Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
The Governor and Lt Gen Hooda discussed various issues relating to the obtaining internal security situation and the need for the Security Forces exercising restraint in dealing with arising incidents.
