At least ten persons were injured when forces opened fire on protestors in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Correspondent reports said that Army and SOG personnel were “clearing road” in Vihil and Nowgam area of Shopian when people came out on roads.
“Roads have been blocked in the district and forces were clearing one side,” reports said.
The reports added that the forces personnel came under severe attack of stone pelting.
“Forces resorted to aerial firing as well while tear gas and pellets were fired upon on protestors,” local sources said.
The clashes spread to Kanji Wullar, a nearby area of Nowgam.
“Some ten persons were injured and three persons have been shifted to Srinagar from PHC Vihil,” sources said.
