‪J&K Government on Tuesday shifted at least seven Employee leaders to district jail Baramulla.

On Monday, several leaders representing Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) leaders including its chief, Abdul Qayoom Wani, had held protest demonstration against the civilian killings and government’s diktat of “no work no pay”.

These leaders were arrested on Monday as they appeared in Lal Chowk to protest against civilian killings at the hands of forces.

Wani, Farooq Ahmad Trali and others were shifted to district jail Baramulla and Kupwara from Kothibagh police station this morning.

Police had detained EJAC chief Wani along with other senior members at Press Enclave. They were lodged in Kothibagh police station.
