The protestors had gathered near NM higher Secondary school Kaloosa where clashes erupted.

The forces resorted to intense tear gas and sound grenade shelling.

Meanwhile, reports said that protesters attacked Ikhwani turned Congressman Usman Majid’s official residence in Bandipora.

Reports said that dozens of youngsters reached the Congress man’s official residence and started pelting stones on it while raising pro-freedom slogans. The Congress man was not present in the house.

Another news report said that forces fired many tear smoke shells to disperse youth who were busy in making a pro-freedom graffiti in Nusu area of Bandipora.

Meanwhile, police men defaced large pro-freedom, anti-India and pro-Burhan Wani graffiti in Srinagar’s Abi Guzar area in Lal Chowk.

The graffiti had appeared this morning.
