All Parties Hurriyat Conference (g) Tuesday alleged that police and ruling PDP activists are “threatening the shopkeepers not to follow the resistance program”.

In a statement issued this evening Tuesday, Hurriyat Conference (g) while condemning it cautioned “these traitors that despite the horrible and pathetic conditions around, you still play to the tunes of these power lusty Indian politicians and once again warned them that their actions are taken seriously and will be dealt with accordingly”.

“Hailing” the role of factory owners especially Cement factories, Hurriyat Conference (g) appealed the people to defer the construction work and concentrate on the on-going movement as “it is gaining momentum with each passing day”.

“Whosoever tries to damage or defame it, is neither well-wisher of the movement nor that of the nation,” the Hurriyat amalgam said.

While condemning the arrest of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) leaders especially Abdul Qayoom Wani and his associates, the Hurriyat said, “employees are part and parcel of our society and they have rendered full support to the on-going movement.”

“Arrests and threats to the employees will not deter them from the goal of freedom,” the Hurriyat added.

On the reports of some banks being open by the day time, Hurriyat Conference (g) cautioned them “not to isolate themselves from the present struggle”.

“By doing so, you are playing in the hands of collaborators and nation will never allow you to do so,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, Hurriyat Conference (m) chairperson, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Tuesday condemned the arrest of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) leaders including its president, Abdul Qayoom Wani and his associates.

Mirwaiz said, “employees are part and parcel of our society and they have rendered full support to the on-going movement.”

Mirwaiz demanded immediate release of the EJAC leaders.
