Various stalls were organised by different government departments including ICDS, Rural development, Health, J&K bank etc.

The officers from different departments informed the gathering about various schemes of their departments and the formalities required for availing the benefits of these schemes.

A Dogri cultural program for generating awareness among the people regarding various schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Swachh Bharat Mission, Jan Dhan Yojana, etc was also organised on the occasion.

Special attraction of the programme was a skit on ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ scheme presented by AWWs and AWHs of ICDS Chenani.

At the outset, the MP inspected various stalls installed by the Government Departments.

In his address to the gathering, the MP said that such outreach programs play an important role in spreading awareness regarding various schemes and programmes launched by the Government and further added that these kind of awareness programmes must be organised in the far flung and remote areas so that the common masses of these areas can be made aware as these people are usually ignorant about various Government schemes.
