Radio Kashmir Srinagar has once again started broadcasting its scheduled programs after it went off the air from Saturday evening for more than 15 hours.

Director Radio Kashmir Srinagar Dr Himayun Kaisar had said that the Narbal transmitter of Radio Kashmir “developed a technical snag” and current affairs programs including “Shehar Been, “Gaimi Bayan Hund” program and “Wadi ki Awaz” could not be broadcast.

“Efforts are in full swing to make the transmitter functional,” he had said.

An official in the Radio Kashmir Srinagar told KNS that they once again started the work while several programs were broadcasted, so far.

Radio Kashmir on Saturday went off the air Saturday evening and consequently several popular programs like “Shehar Been” could not be broadcast.

Interestingly, the joint resistance leadership has asked people to stop the employees of Radio Kashmir, Doordarshan and State Information Department from attending to their duties.

However, the government is taking all possible measures to ensure Radio Kashmir, Information Department and Doordarshan employees attend the offices on September 1 to counter the call given by joint resistance camp.
