Condemning the slapping of draconian PSA on Altaf Ahmad Waza, president Beopar Mandal Singpora, the Kashmir Economic Alliance led by Muhammad Yasin Khan Monday asked the government to release him forthwith or face “fury of business community.”

“Waza happens to be a representative of the business community. PSA has been slapped against him and shifted to Kathua. This is aggression of the state government to frighten the Kashmir Inc but such tactics can’t suppress us,” Khan who also heads the Kashmir Traders and Manufactures Federation said in a statement this afternoon.

“Government has started harassing traders’ community, but let it be clear to the oppressive rulers that trade fraternity will continue to support Hurriyat (Conference) program till the last breath,” Khan said.

He also condemned the slapping of PSA on Advocate Babar, a youth leader from Chenab Valley.

The KEA Chairperson also sought immediate release of EJAC leaders including their president Ab Qayoom Wani.

“Some of the ministers and officials are acting as more loyal than the king and are part of such conspiracies of jailing our brethren. Nothing is going unnoticed,” Khan said.

He ridiculed at the government claims of Jamhooriyat. “Is slapping PSA on genuine voices of people democratic?” he asked the state and the Union governments.
