One journalist was injured when forces fired pellets on protests in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Correspondent reports said that Video-Journalist who works with News24 was injured when hit by pellets.

Clashes erupted in Wathoo area when forces raided the venue for a pro-freedom rally on Tuesday.

However, people resisted the forces action and revolted the action. Forces had taken down the tents erected for the rally.

The Journalist was identified as Aijaz Ahmad.

He was rushed to Shopian hospital. He was hit by pellets in his legs. He was given treatment the hospital and later discharged.

Meanwhile, reports said that thousands of people have commenced the pro-freedom rally at the same venue in Wathoo area.

More so, youths erupted in protests near Gagran camp where they pelted stones on the forces.
