Many youths were injured in North Kashmir’s Trehgam in Kupwara district when forces fired teargas shells, pellets and other ammunition on the protestors.

Witnesses said that the forces fired shells which produced huge sound inviting more crowds.

The injured persons were treated at a local health facility.

“One of the injured has marks all over his body as he came under a rain of pellets while he was running away for safety,” witnessed told Kashmir Life.

The village which witnessed curfew like restrictions on 53 day, witnesses clashes almost every day.

Yesterday, three youths were hit with pellets when police used force to quell protests.

While the government has called for restrictions on unabated use of pellet guns, on ground the situation it is different.
