The Civil Secretariat employees Thursday held a protest in the Lawns of Civil Secretariat against the “callous approach” of State Administration.
The protest led confrontation between the employees and the Government.
The disgruntling employees said the prevailing situation in the valley does not allow them to perform their duties to the best of their capacities.
This was stated by Chairman Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee Ghulam Rasool Mir along with President Lower Grade Employees Union Maqbool Hussain.
“It has been unanimously decided that no employee either from Jammu, Kashmir or Ladakh of the Civil Secretariat shall attend the office in view of prevailing situation,” an employee said. “Safeguarding lives first.”
