Aazadi rallies, protests, demonstrations continued for the 63nd consecutive day today across length and breadth of Kashmir.
Reports reaching here said that clashes erupted in Gulshan chowk area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district after congregational Friday prayers.
Earlier people assembled in Jamia Masjid Bandipora and offered congregational prayers.
Locals said that people took out a peaceful rally after prayers seeking Aazadi from “Indian occupation” and against the civilian killings and nocturnal raids.
However the men in uniform used force against them.
A local told Kashmir Life over phone that the people were peacefully raising slogans. “However police and other forces fired tear gas canisters on them.”
Meanwhile, protest rallies were taken out across central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
The residents said that despite authorities not allowing Friday prayers at Beehama Jamia Masjid for the seventh consecutive week, rallies were taken out after Friday prayers in Beehama, Safapora, Manigam, Batwina, Kangan and Preng areas of the district.
