J&K government disallowed mandatory congregational Friday prayers in historic Jamia Masjid on September 09, 2016.
The government re-imposed curfew across Kashmir today in view of no let down in pro-freedom protests and rallies.
The historic Jamia Masjid has been sealed and people are not being allowed to move towards it.
More so, as Friday prayers ended at Dargah Hazratbal people started raising pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.
Reports said that police and CRPF men swung into action and fired many tear smoke canisters to disperse the protesters.
A large number of people tried to take out a march after prayers which was foiled by the forces.
The government disallowed Friday prayers in the revered Dargah once in last two months of mass anti-India uprising.
