#Day63: Tear Gas Shelling In Old Sgr; Many Injured In Pellet Firing In Bandipora

SRINAGAR

Forces lobbed scores of tear gas canisters in Old Srinagar on Friday evening when people came out on rods raising pro-freedom slogans.

Reports said that forces fired tear gas canisters in Khanyar, Rajouri Kadal and Saraf Kadal.

Meanwhile, two youths in North Kashmir’s Hajin area were hit by pellets in eyes. They were shifted to Srinagar for treatment.

One of the youth identified as Irshad Ahmad (21) has been hit in right eye, where as another identified as Waseem Ahmad (20) is also hit in right eye.

Clashes erupted in main Hajin town and forces fired hundreds of pellets on protestors.

Reports further said that three people were injured in Saderkoot area of Bandipora district after forces including CRPF and police men lobbed tear smoke shells and pellets on protesting people near Chaki Saderkoot.

The injured have been identified as Waseem, Ejaz and Imtiyaz.

Reports said that Ejaz has received pellets in both the eyes.

Meanwhile, clashes were going on between people and forces in Kaloosa and Papchan area of Bandipora.

So far, at least 77 civilians have been killed while over 11000 people have been injured by forces in last two months.
