Local sources said that the men in uniform raided Karimabad hamlet around 6:30 AM today in order to make arrests.

“Hundreds of forces personnel came and started damaging motor bicycles, cars, houses, and whatever came in their way,” locals said. “They fired pellets, tear gas canisters and bullets.”

“It is Karbala here,” one local said while making “comparisons” between world war and this early morning raid.

“Over hundred people were injured who have been shifted to Pulwama hospital, Rahmoo, Newa, Parigam PHCs,” the local said.

They said that following raids, people from adjacent villages marched towards Karimabad to resist the forces excesses.
