Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan Thursday convened a meeting of officers of district administration Kupwara to review the status of the on-going developmental works under capex budget, district/state sector, CSS, BADP, NABARD etc.

The DDC Kupwara briefed the Divisional Commissioner about the physical and financial progress through power point presentation, an official spokesperson said this evening.

It was given out that 65% of expenditure has been utilised up to 8/2016 and main achievement is three important bridges are nearing to completion in the district and work on other development projects is in progress.

The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir directed the Engineering departments and other officers to gear up the pace of developmental works and be ready with plan-B mode for re-appropriations wherever funds could not be utilised. He also directed the officers to ensure full attendance in their respective offices.

He directed all the DFOs to be vigilant about the timber smuggling in their areas and initiate all affective measures to prevent the forest (green gold).

Meanwhile, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir held a separate meeting with Tehsildars, Numberdars, Chowkidars and public deputations to have feel on ground situation and assured them immediate possible solution for the issues raised.
