Pakistan premier Mian Nawaz Sharif speaks in United Nations during 71st session of General Assembly on Sep 21, 2016.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said that India accused Pakistan of Uri attack within a few hours of the attack.

Talking to Pakistani journalists in New York, he said, “Investigation on such incidents requires many days and weeks”.

“Questions are being raised on India’s haste (after Uri Attack),” Geo News reported.

At least eighteen Indian soldiers and four suspected militants were killed in an early dawn attack on September 18, 2016 in Army’s Uri base.

“Instead of hurling accusations on Pakistan, India should stop its atrocities. India is involved in serious human rights violations in occupied Kashmir,” he said.

He said, “108 people have been martyred in Kashmir over the past two-and-a-half months and India was hurling allegations at Pakistan”.

Nawaz Sharif described Indian allegations against Pakistan as “India’s long-time habit”, the news report added.

He expressed the resolve that war against terror will be taken to its logical end.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif also held separate meetings with World Bank Executive Director Nasir Mahmood Khan Khosa and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Cuba Kamran Shafi in New York.
