At least five rifles were snatched from J&K Police cops by suspected militants in South Kashmir on Monday.

Sources said that suspected militants over powered some cops guarding a minority family in Kulgam district.

“The militants snatched five self-loading rifles, 250 rounds and ten magazines from them,” police sources said.

The incident happened at Saamnu Nehama in Dam Haal Hanji Pora, Kulgam

The rifle snatching incidents are frequently reported from South Kashmir. In September itself, at least sixteen rifles were snatched from cops by suspected militants in South Kashmir.
