The District Administration Baramulla has set up a Joint Control Room to keep a vigil and handle any law and order situation during Muharram processions in the district.
Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash, said the joint control room will be operational from tomorrow for Muharram days and will be in service round-the-clock.
Officials of Police and District administration will be available in the control room established in the Police Control Room (PCR) Baramulla with telephone numbers 01952237830 and 9596767768 which will deal with the specific requirements like supply of electric power, water supply, sanitation, health and other issues of emergency.
Officers from Police, Municipality, Public Health Engineering, Health, Power Development Department (PDD), Roads and Buildings (R&B), Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, Fire & Emergency Services departments have been designated to redress issues, if any, raised by public.
