A tanker carrying petrol has caught fire in summer capital on Sunday.
An official at government established helpline said that they received information that a petrol tanker in Habbak area of Hazratbal caught fire this afternoon.
Fire tenders were rushed to the spot from the Fire and Emergency Headquarters Batamaloo here.
Later, speaking to Kashmir Life, a cop from police station Nigeen said, “a petrol tanker which was defiling the fuel in to a petrol pump caught fire.”
He was not sure about the actual cause of fire, however, he said, “perhaps, the driver of the tanker was puffing cigarette which caused the fire.”
There are no reports of any casualty, he added, “but the tanker has been partially damaged.”
The Fire brigades rushed to the spot via Lal Chowk.
