Hailing the statement of Pakistan premier Nawaz Sharif that “no power on earth can stop” Pakistan from supporting Kashmiris, Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) Tuesday termed it “encouraging and promising”.
In a statement issued here this evening, the DeM secretary general Nahida Nasreen said, “the continuous moral and diplomatic support of Pakistan has always encouraged the people of Kashmir to attain the cherished goal of Freedom from brutal Indian occupation. We welcome the statement of (Nawaz) Sharif and appeal the people of Pakistan to continue their unflinching support to the Kashmir cause.”
The DeM secretary general said, “India through her proxies is making propaganda against Jama’at-ud-Dawah chief, Hafiz Saeed. Some people in Pakistan who are on the payrolls of Indian agencies are involved in propaganda against Saeed. They want to convince the government in Pakistan that it is because of Saeed that the world is trying to isolate Pakistan. This is baseless and the handiwork of India.” “They want to defame Pakistan.”
Meanwhile, welcoming the proposed march of Difa-e-Pakistan council from Muzaffarabad to Chakoti “against the Indian aggression and terrorism” on the Line of Control, Nahida Nasreen said, “this is a welcome step aimed at highlighting the Indian sponsored terrorism along the LoC and internationalizing the Kashmir issue.”
“The civil society of Pakistan has always stood with the people of Kashmir and it is heartening to see them rallying for the genuine concerns of the people of Kashmir,” Nasreen said.
The statement said that Nasreen along with scores of party activists today visited the residence of slain Junaid Ahmad Akhoon at Saidapora area of Eidgah and paid glowing tributes to the ‘martyr’.
“Junaid’s killing was a cruel murder perpetuated by the Jammu and Kashmir police at the behest of their masters in Srinagar and Delhi,” she said.
“The people of Kashmir are advised to inculcate the values of Imam Hussain (RA) and say good bye to the present day Yazids who are in the form of Jammu and Kashmir police and local political stooges of New Delhi,” she added.
“The message of Imam Hussain (RA) is to stand up against the oppression, tyranny and fight the enemy. Imam Hussain is the best example in front of the people of oppressed Kashmiris.”
